Cops probe Taman Melawati school severe teen bullying case, seven questioned
AMPANG - Police have recorded statements from seven individuals in connection with bullying case at Taman Melawati school, here.
Ampang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the seven individuals consisted of three suspects and four witnesses.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
"The public has been advised not to make any speculations regarding the case," he told Sinar.
It was reported that a 15-year-old student was physically assaulted following a disagreement with a Form Five student. The incident that took place at about 9.30am last Monday during which the victim was punched in the chest, strangled and kicked by the Form Five student.
Later, at around 3pm, the victim was summoned by five students, who are considered suspects, to Bukit Mar Mar Kemensah, where he was assaulted again by a group of about 10 to 15 students.
As a result of the second attack, the victim suffered injuries to his forehead, a cut on his left eyebrow and jaw and swelling on the back of his neck.
