BELURAN - The mangled remains of a crocodile attack victim was found floating in Sungai Rawod, Ladang Linbar 2, here.

The remains of Rudi Amiruddin, 28, was discovered at about 10.30am today at about one kilometre away from the location he was attacked.

Beluran Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Edoen Macheal said the search and rescue (SAR) operation of the victim which started at 6.45am entered the third day today with the assistance of various security agencies and the villagers.

"The mangled remains was finally found floating in the river, while the lower part of the body and both the victims' hands were missing believed to be eaten by the crocodile. This is according to witnesses who were at the scene.

"The victim's body was handed over to the police for further action and the operation ended at about 11.30am," he told Sinar.

It was reported that the victim, who was a farm worker, went missing after he was attacked by a crocodile while washing his hands and feet at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
