Work-based learning innovation prepare students with highly skilled entrepreneurial minds
KUALA LUMPUR - Work-based learning (WBL) based education is one of the best measures to prepare a highly skilled workforce amidst the challenging job placement market conditions after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Innovative Capital Group Executive Chief Datuk Wira Dr Azizan Osman said the WBL programme represented an innovative learning method that prepares students for the increasingly challenging job market.
“This programme provides opportunities for students to have a hands-on experience at the workplace, practical experience and increase their skills as the format provides students with highly innovative knowledge and skills for the working world ensuring they remain competitive in life.
“Education is no longer for work, but it’s more towards the lifestyle and skills towards shaping your future. I believe entrepreneurship and innovation in education is important towards finding solutions to real-world problems that affect our lives today,” Azizan said in his opening speech here today.
Also present were Innovative International University College (IIUS) chairman Captain (B) TLDM Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Hashim Yaacob, IIUC president Shahawati Umar and Republic of Indonesia Labour Ministry Binalavotas Director-General Bapak Budi Hartawan.

In 10 years I hope the organisation under Innovative Capital will spearhead the field of innovative education in building entrepreneurs and youth who can enter the working world.
