No plans to table motion of no confidence against Anwar, says Bersatu
SINAR REPORTERSHAH ALAM - Bersatu MPs has no plans to table motion of no confidence against the Unity Government in the next Parliament session.
Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that if the opposition wanted to challenge the government's administration then they should bring a motion on the matter to Parliament.
According to Berita Harian, Bersatu information chief Datuk Razali Idris said that there was no discussion about the matter at the party level.
He said the issues of sufficient seats was merely empty talk, questioning Anwar's action of entertaining such speculation when the opposition leader had never issued a statement about enough statutory declarations.
He said Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin as the opposition leader had never issued a statement on statutory declarations (SDs) so he questions Anwar's action of entertaining such speculation.
"If Hamzah personally said that there are enough numbers then Anwar can challenge it," he said.
He said if Anwar still has doubts about the support he received, the Pakatan Harapan chairman could bring the motion himself without challenging any parties.
"He can table the motion of no confidence himself in the Parliament session. This is because he is behaving much more like the opposition instead of the government right now," he said.
