SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar is set to attend the premier screening of 'Anwar, The Untold Story' movie tomorrow (Monday) at Dadi Cinema in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur.

DMY Creation and Yusrych Global on Sunday that the guests are expected to arrive at 7 p.m., followed by Anwar, who is also Tambun MP, at 8.30pm for the screening.

The movie is scheduled to be screened at 9pm followed by a press conference with the media at 10.30pm.

Anwar would be watching the film with 258 VIPs from the entertainment industry, political figures, and celebrities.

Among the guests expected to attend are Bandar Tun Razak MP who was Anwar’s wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil, renowned singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, famous composer and singer Datuk Seri M Nasir, DMY Creation founder Datuk Mohamed Yusoff, actress Fauziah Ahmad Daud, famous lyric writer Datuk Habsah Hassan, director Datuk Yusof Haslam, director Datuk David Teo, and others.

The movie, filmed by Indonesian director Viva Westi, stars actor Farid Kamil in the lead role as Anwar, while Acha Septriasa plays Wan Azizah.

The story depicts Anwar’s political journey, facing hardships and struggles while fighting corruption in the nation. It is said to be inspired by true incidents in Anwar's life since becoming Finance Minister in 1993 until his dismissal in 1998.

Produced by Bianglala Entertainment, the movie was filmed in Malaysia and Indonesia at a cost of RM10 million.
