Syed Hamadah is new Tabung Haji CEO
PUTRAJAYA - Former Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP) chief executive officer Syed Hamadah Syed Othman has been appointed as a board member, group managing director and chief executive officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said the appointment was effective tomorrow ( May 6th) and that Syed had a degree in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
He said other than being the former KWAP CEO, Syed also had extensive experience in corporate management in addition to his previous experience as Fellow at the Faculty of Actuaries, United Kingdom and a fellow at the Malaysian Actuarial Association.
Na'im said that with Syed's competency and expertise, he will be able to drive Tabung Haji to excellence, as a pillar to the ummah's economic success as well as being the world's best Hajj management institution.
"Congratulations to Syed for carrying this trust for the sake of religion, the country and the ummah," he said.
At the same time, Na'im also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin for his devotion and excellent service during his tenure.
