GEORGETOWN - Penang Perikatan Nasional (PN) wish to conquer at least 15 State Legislative Assembly seats in the upcoming state polls is merely a 'dream'.

Penang Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Muhammad Fadzli Roslan said PN leaders should make decisions based on their situation and focus on the issues faced by the people in their areas.

"If not, that too will be snatched by the Unity government in the election," he added.

He claimed that the PN assemblymen and MPs in the state did not show commitment to helping the people but were more into playing political narratives than solving the people's issues.

"PN should prove their success in the state that they govern first before dreaming about conquering Penang.

"Keep your dream to conquer Penang to yourselves since you can't even manage your own areas," he said in a statement today.

Fadzil said that the Penang government under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government has been solving various issues faced by the people.

He said that since 2009, a total of RM33.2 million has been allocated for the development of Islam.

"The allocation increases every year, even in the Penang State Budget 2023 that was tabled, there was an increase of up to RM75.08 million for the development of the Islamic religion here.

"In addition, the state government had also built a total of 136,333 affordable houses since 2008 until 2022, which had greatly benefited the people of Penang," he said.

He said rapid development in the manufacturing sector and the abundant job opportunities offered were also among the privileges enjoyed by not only the people of Penang but also people from Kedah and Kelantan who come to earn a living in the state.

For example, Fadzli said Batu Kawan Industrial Park (BKIP) is one of the manufacturing and industrial development sites that are rapidly developing and will offer thousands of job opportunities.
