SHAH ALAM - After Pas and Bersatu, former PKR vice president Zuraida Kamaruddin also meets Dr Mahathir Mohamad to discuss the former premier's Malay Proclamation.

In her recent Facebook post, Zuraida said her discussion with the former two-time prime minister revolved around the proclamation.

"In a move towards a sustainable nation, the interests and rights of the Malays must be prioritised without setting aside the rights of other races.

"We move unanimously to uphold the principles of true democracy," she said after meeting the Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) chairman.

Earlier today, Pas leader Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and several leaders from the Islamic party have signed Mahathir's proclamation.

A video clip of the signing was posted on the Malay People's Proclamation Facebook page, where Hadi expressed his support for the proclamation based on Islamic principles.

The Malay People's Proclamation consists of a 12-point document that states that Malays have never dominated the economy of this country.
