KOTA KINABALU - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attends the state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by the Sabah government at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here.

Arriving at 11am, Anwar greeted the public, who were also feasting on a variety of delicacies at the SICC.

He was accompanied by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and other Cabinet ministers.

The open house organised by the Sabah government was also graced by the presence of Sabah Yang Dipertua Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and his wife Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni.

People had begun gathering as early as 8am and were entertained by performances of local artists in addition to being served with a variety of Raya dishes from over 50 stalls at SICC.

Earlier, Hajiji presented donations to more than 70 underprivileged people at the event, including elderly folk, blind and deaf members, as well as children from welfare homes and orphanages.

The open house was attended by over 20,000 guests, not only from around Kota Kinabalu but also from Tawau, Paitan, Keningau, and other districts.
