KUALA LUMPUR - Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin has refuted claims that the association is in debt with Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

Hamidin said the debt mentioned by Tunku Ismail might be the prize money which had yet to be fully paid by Malaysian Football League (MFL) to JDT.

"There is none.. I can't be sure that we don't owe them anything. For me, I think MFL might owe them the unsettled prize money but it is almost fully paid.

"However FAM owes them nothing.

"There might have been a delay in paying the prize money but it could have been fully paid. Perhaps Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan (MFL president) can confirm the matter," he said when met by the media at Aidifiltri Open House at his residence today.

Previously, Tunku Ismail revealed that FAM has an old debt that they still haven't paid him and wanted them to be rejected as a punishment to the club after their had lighted flares during a Malaysian Super League match.
