Malaysian content creator Sofyank featured in Zach King's "magic vine"
SHAH ALAM - Malaysian social media influencer and content creator Sofyank has been featured in a video with the famous American Internet personality Zach King.
King, known for his ‘magic vines,’ uploaded a "magic" video of him featuring Sofyank in a coffee shop.
King added that the 26-year-old Kelantanese, whose real name is Mohamad Sofian Abdullah, wrote that Sofyank is his friend from Malaysia, an incredible filmmaker, and VFX artist.
Sofyank recently flew to Los Angeles to compete in the Ultimate VFX Challenge, hosted by King.
Sofyank made the country proud by winning the competition and defeating two other content creators, Brandon from the United Kingdom and Eva from the Netherlands.
This challenge required all three contestants to produce a magic video within 72 hours.
On Instagram, Sofyank expressed his gratitude by uploading a recap video of his journey as a content creator since 2015.
"Alhamdulillah 2023 is the most meaningful year for me as a content creator.
“To be honest, in the beginning, I made videos just as a hobby, but because of all of you who never stopped supporting me, I made being a content creator a career.
"Without your support from 2015, I might not be involved in this field," Sofyank added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated him through a tweet on Twitter that the creative power shown by young people must be nurtured and encouraged.
Anwar said Sofyank’s achievement was something the nation should be proud of.
