KUALA LUMPUR - Four teenagers were arrested yesterday after dangerously riding their motorcycles in the city centre.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said the riders' actions were detected through Op Selamat 20/2023 which started at 1.30am by Kuala Lumpur JSPT officers and personnel.

He said four men aged between 16 to 21 were arrested separately.

"In the operations, it was found that the riders were involved in a dangerous act such as performing the "superman" stunt, racing with each other and doing the zig zag stunt.

"Investigation is being carried out on the four motorcycles, two of which were a Honda EX5 and two Yamaha LC," he told Sinar, today.

He said investigation was being carried out under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act (RTA) 1987.

He added that the police advised all parents to monitor their children's activities especially at night to avoid from such dangerous activities.
