Daredevil 'wheelie' stunt leaves rider in trouble
SHAH ALAM - The police are on the hunt for a motorcyclist who lifted the front tire while riding with a woman dressed in baju kurung and performed a dangerous 'wheelie' stunt, as captured in a viral video.
The incident is believed to have occured at Jalan Pasir Puteh, Kg Peringat, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, according to the police's official Instagram account @pdrmsia_official.
"The motorcyclist needs to be present at the nearest police station to give evidence and assist the investigation, under Section 24 of the Road Transport Act 1987," it said in a statement.
Earlier, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim said they had directed the Kelantan contingent to track down the motorcyclist for further investigation.
He urged the public with information about the incident to report it to the any nearby police station immediately.
