KUALA LUMPUR - Traffic flow on several major highways was reported to be slow-moving as at 5pm this afternoon due to an increase in the number of vehicles in conjunction with the second day of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

A spokesman for the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), when contacted, said traffic flow was reported to be slow from Nilai to Seremban until Senawang and from Ayer Keroh to Jasin as well as from Bukit Gambir to Pagoh.

"Traffic flow was also slow from Senai to Sedenak, Simpang Renggam to Machap (Ayer Hitam) and from the Yong Peng rest area to Pagoh,” said the spokesman.

The LLM through its Twitter account said traffic congestion was also reported heading to the East Coast Expressway (LPT1), before the Gombak Toll Plaza.

Traffic flow before the Temerloh Toll Plaza exit was also reported to be congested, especially about 700 metres from KM139.2 to the Chenor Toll, due to an increase in the volume of traffic.
