Bersatu to get BN-won seats in Kelantan, says Pas on upcoming election

TUMPAT - Pas will maintain its status quo and contest in all previously won State seats in the upcoming state election, while the eight seats previously won by Barisan Nasional (BN) will be contested by Bersatu.

Kelantan Pas deputy commissioner Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah said his party will use the same formula used in the 15th general elections, leaving it to Bersatu to contest in Parliament seats won by BN.

"This decision was made in a meeting base on discussions held before.

"If there are any changes, we will inform the media again," he told reporters at Kelantan Menteri Besar Open House in Kampung Alor Pasir, Wakaf Bharu, here, today.

Amar furher said Pas was prepared to face the upcoming state election, with the party having listed the names of candidates to be nominated.

He said the names will now go through a filtering process with the final decision to be made by the Menteri Besar.
