Its director Mohd Misuari Abdullah said through the slogan 'Drive carefully, reach your destination safely', the department is committed to ensure proper enforcement was carried out to reduce road accidents and deaths.

"A total of 250 RTD officers and members are involved in the operation at the state, starting from Tuesday to next April 27," he said in a statement today.

Additionally, he said RTD officers together with the police will be stationed in Gua Musang to help disperse and control traffic flow after the main route was temporarily closed for construction works.

"We expect an increase in the traffic flow and congestion leading to Kelantan as people drive to their hometowns to celebrate Raya.

Misuari said officers will disguise as passengers to ensure bus drivers follow road rules.

He said goods vehicles would be prohibited from using the main road on April 21, 24, and 25.

"To prevent accidents, the department will partner with the police to regulate motorcycle convoys returning to their hometowns."," he said.
