SHAH ALAM - A video of singer Elizabeth Tan and Malaysia's 10th Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim accidentally bumping into each other had gone viral.

Based on the video, the incident happened when Elizabeth attended an iftar ceremony where Anwar was the guest of honour.

The video which was uploaded on to the singer's instagram page has since garnered amused reactions from social media users and fans of the singer.

Elizabeth apologised for bumping into Anwar as she was too excited to meet him.

"So excited to meet Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim until I accidentally bumped into him... omg I'm so sorry," Elizabeth wrote in the caption of the video uploaded.

Most thought the incident happened because Anwar didn't see the singer and Elizabeth was walking backwards towards him.

"When Anwar was shaking hands with the people around him, she (Elizabeth) got excited and walked backwards in which Anwar didn't actually notice.

"It looks normal, netizens just like to exaggerate. Those who know Elizabeth will know that. Think positively, it's not like he intended to do so in public.

"Elizabeth saw the Prime Minister coming so why would she walk backward. She should have just stand aside and shake hands with him," some netizens commented. - Awani
