KUALA LUMPUR - About 100 people gathered in front of Masjid Tabung Haji, here, to start marching to United States Embassy under police control today.

The International Al-Quds Solidarity Rally started at 2pm by reciting the takbir.

The rally was also organised due to the barbaric actions of the illegal Israeli occupation forces that invaded Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the Palestinian on April 5.

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) including the Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organisations (Mapim) had joined the solidarity rally.

International Al-Quds Day took place on the last Friday of Ramadan every year and has been celebrated in most Muslim countries since early 1980s.

It was held as a sign of Muslim solidarity to remember the 'black' moment when Palestine was first colonized by the Zionist and the holy Al-Quds city was conquered.
