SEREMBAN - Negotiations for State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the six states which will face state elections (PRN) are still open even though Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) have agreed that the incumbents in the 14th general election (GE14) will be retained in their respective seats.

Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said such matters usually happen in any seat allocation process before an election.

"In general, the seats won by the party that contested in GE14 are usually not touched, however it is open to discussion. It is inevitable if they want to discuss the division of seats, it is normal in any seat negotiation process," he said.

The Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living told reporters after launching the Rahmah Ramadan Bazaar (BRR) and Negeri Sembilan Retail Sector Digitization Initiative Programme (REDI) at BRR Bandar Prima, Senawang here today.

Salahuddin said the negotiations also involved Amanah in Negeri Sembilan.

"Whether or not we get (seats), it depends on the outcome of negotiations that are being held cordially," he said.

PH has 20 state seats while BN holds 16 seats in Negeri Sembilan.
