SHAH ALAM - The National Registration Department (JPN) has successfully resolved 79 issues involving registration, exchanging identification cards, and birth certificate registrations during the Menyemai Kasih Rakyat (Mekar) programme at Karangkraf Group Complex on Monday.

Its director, Zamri Misman, said the 79 issues encompassed one new identification card registration involving a 12-year-old child, while 65 others were replacements.

"We have also managed to retrieve 13 birth registration records to help individuals who lost their certificates.

"The duration was not long, those who attended would only need to wait for half an hour. This was an additional service we ran to make it easier for the public.

The Mekar initiative was carried out in conjunction with the Town Hall session with Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, which was also held on Monday.

Karangkraf Book Group chief executive officer (CEO) Firdaus Hussamuddin stated the programme held in the company complex was a collaboration with the government agency to simplify the public’s affairs.
