Maxis joins Ideal Property to bring fibre connectivity to residential and commercial developments
SHAH ALAM - Maxis has teamed up with Ideal Property Group to bring fibre connectivity to home and business in Penang Island and Butterworth.
In a statement, Maxis said it would deasign, supply and install the telecommunications infrastructure for fixed services in 12 commercial and residential projects comprising 12,000 business premises and homes.
Maxis said the partnership represents Maxis’ on-going collaboration with property developers in the country in providing high speed broadband and connectivity solutions.
Maxis Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer Claire Featherstone said there were immense possibilties for digital services for more homes and business through Maxis' fibre network, capabilities and attractive positions.
Meanwhile Ideal Property Group Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Alex Ooi Kee Liang said Maxis' capabilities in network infrastructure and services will add value to the townships.
"Connectivity today has become such an essential part of our lives and work, and we are committed to developing more connected homes and townships to meet the digital lifestyles of our customers.
"Maxis’ capabilities in network infrastructure and services will certainly add value to our townships and the partnership is an important step towards realising our vision of becoming a world-class property developer," he said.
Penang Technology Park@Bertam and Penang International Exchange 1 and 2 are among the commercial developments where Maxis will be one of the main connectivity providers under the agreement. The former is slated to bring in potential investors for industries such as semiconductors, medical devices, aerospace and others.
