Motorcycle rider dies after crashing into a lorry
SHAH ALAM - A motorcycle rider died after crashing into a lorry near a petrol station at Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, here, on Wednesday.
Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said he received the reports at 10.40pm.
"Investigations found the accident occurred when the lorry driven by the 37-year-old man was heading from Puncak Alam wanted to turn right towards the petrol station.
"The victim was riding a motorcycle and could not avoid the lorry in time and crashed into its side," he said in a statement on Thursday.
He said the victim suffered severe injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
"The victim's body was brought to the Shah Alam Hospital for an autopsy.
"The case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.
