Robert Kuok retains top spot in Malaysia’s rich list

KUALA LUMPUR - With a value of US$11.8 billion (RM51.88 billion) Tan Sri Robert Kuok retains the top spot in Malaysia’s rich list on Forbes Annual World's Billionaires.

He was listed as the 146th richest person in the world, according to Forbes.

The second-richest person is Hong Leong Group co-founder Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan who valued at US$10.1 billion (RM44.41 billion), placing him 179th on the Forbes list.

Ananda Krishnan followed at US$5.2 billion (RM22.86 billion) placing him at 511th among the richest people in the world.

Forbes listed LVMH founder Bernard Arnault as the first on the list in 2023.

He was valued at US$211 billion (RM927.77 billion), making him the first Frenchman at the top of the list.

LVMH encompassed Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Tiffany & Co.

Tesla and Twitter Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk came in second at US$180 billion (RM791.46 billion).
