Vehicle stoning case: Bentong police search for suspects

SHAH ALAM - Bentong police are looking for suspects in the case of vehicle stoning on the roads.

This was following pictures and video recordings of the incident which went viral on social media showing stones thrown towards moving cars on the roads at Mempaga, Lurah Bilut and Bentong, Pahang.

Bentong District Police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar confirmed that two police reports were lodged over the incident so far.

"Police are looking for the suspects who are responsible for such actions.

"We are also working together with the residents in Felda Mempaga and the Rancangan Tanah Pemuda (RTP) villagers for patrol and monitoring to trace the suspects," he said in a statement, today.

Zaiham advised people to be extra careful when driving at the areas stated above (Mempaga, Lurah Bilut and Bentong).

The police also urged the public to come forward if they receive any information on the suspects and contact IPD Bentong at 019-2222222 or any nearby police station.
