KUANTAN - Despite reports of a Black Monday strike by contract doctors starting today , things seem to be calm at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA), here

Checks by Sinar saw conditions at the hospital as of 8am were calm.

However, there were no contract doctor groups seen stepping into the HTAA daily treatment centre.

Throughout the observations, patients were seen getting their treatments as usual in the morning.

Security guards at the hospital informed there were no such orders from the management to tighten security at the premises.

The contract doctor strike was supposed to be held on Monday to Wednesday even though it was prohibited by the Health Ministry.

Contract doctors through a post on Instagram urged all parties to support the movement and wear black.

The situation in Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) was also calm and daily activities continued as per usual.
