ROSKHOIRAH YAHYASHAH ALAM - Machang Member of Parliament Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad has submitted an urgent motion today to request the Dewan Rakyat to debate on targeted withdrawal applications for the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF)
He asked that Dewan Rakyat session to be adjourned in accordance to Article 18 (1) and (2) of the Meeting Rules to make way for the motion to discuss the targeted EPF withdrawal for those in need.
"People are getting more and more desperate, the number of groups who can't cover their living expenses is increasing right now.
"Therefore, I believe this issue needs to be expedited next week since there are only two days left before the end of this Dewan Rakyat session," he said via his Facebook page today.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister who is also Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim did not answer Wan Ahmad Fayhsal's question about targeted EPF withdrawals in the Dewan Rakyat.
He said the people gave various reactions and complaints when it was announced by the government.
