Firemen rescue child locked in a car
KUALA SELANGOR - A three-year-old child was rescued by firemen after she was trapped in a locked car at a petrol station in Teluk Piah on Thursday.
Selangor Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Morni Mamat said the incident occurred when the child accidentally pressed the door lock inside the car.
He said six personnel from the Kuala Selangor fire and rescue department (BBP) rushed to the scene after receiving the distress call at 2.52pm.
"As they arrived on scene, the child was still locked inside the car," he said in a statement on Thursday.
Morni said the child was trapped in the car for five minutes before the firemen successfully rescued her using special tools.
"The child did not suffer any injuries and was given to her family," he said.
