'I don't understand what is Sanusi saying', says Fahmi

PADANG TERAP - Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil was baffled by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's statement, which claimed that he was prevented from attending federal government events.

He said there was no issue with Sanusi.

"On all official work visits by the Communications and Digital Ministry to Kedah, we have invited everyone, including members of parliament and state assemblymen.

"There are representatives from the Padang Terap MP’s office and assemblymen.This spirit is slightly different. I am not sure what he (Sanusi) meant.

"I think it is important for the unity government to prove that we are prepared to cooperate for the sake of the people, enough of the politics, let us serve for the people," he said during a press conference after officiating the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Padng Terap North Zone Point of Presence (PoP) Fibre Optic Network Hub here on Wednesday.

Earlier today, Sanusi, in a Facebook posting, said he was being barred from federal government programmes in his own state.

The Kedah Menteri Besar also stated he was prevented from attending the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (Lima) 2023 exhibition in May
