KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stole the spotlight today when he was seen running into the Dewan Rakyat.

The Tambun Member of Parliament was believed to have ran there to ensure he arrived on time for the Prime Minister's Question and Answer (PMQ) session today.

It was reported that Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, had expressed his readiness to answer questions from the people's representatives in the First Meeting of the Second Term of the 15th Parliament this time.

The session is a reform agenda implemented by the Unity Government where Anwar will answer questions addressed to him on Tuesday while the Ministerial Question Time (MQT) session is on Thursday.

During the PMQ session, Anwar had answered several questions including a question from Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias ​​(BN-Jelebu) who wanted to know about the progress of the implementation of the holistic poverty eradication initiative.

Datuk Idris Ahmad (PN-Bagan Serai) also participated as he asked the Prime Minister for an explanation about the mechanism used by the government to measure the achievement of said initiative.

Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Tanah Merah) had asked Anwar to state the government's readiness to implement the proposal made by Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M), to place the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) under Parliament jurisdiction.
