PMO must clarify the outcome of Anwar's visit to Saudi Arabia
SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Office (PMO) must give a full explanation of the outcome of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's recent visit to Saudi Arabia.
Bachok member of parliament (MP) Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman said details on the objectives, preparation, organisation, and overall cost of the visit should also be clarified.
He said, in general, there are three types of visits abroad: official visits, business trips, and umrah tours, each with its own specific objectives.
"For an official visit, the objective is to strengthen existing established diplomatic relations," he said in a statement on Facebook on Sunday.
Mohd Syahir added that, for a business trip, the objective is to improve trade relations between two countries.
"While for Umrah visits, the objective is to perform worship Umrah in Makkah and pilgrimage in Madinah," he explained.
