We understand Saifuddin is too busy to go through the application - Muda
SHAH ALAM - Parti Ikatan Demokratik Malaysia (Muda) cynically states that they understand Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail's 'busyness' as Home Minister to the point he has no time to read the party's application letter to join Pakatan Harapan (PH).
Its secretary-general, Amir Hariri Abd Hadi said in a tweet earlier that Saifuddin currently has so many reform agendas he needs to implement.
"Thank you for the answer. We understand your 'busyness' and your great duty as the Home Minister since there are so many reform agendas to be implemented.
"So, I am sharing the letters we sent here. Please read them," he said today.
He said this in response to the PH secretary general's reply, who said he was too busy to read Muda's application letter to join the coalition under Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's leadership.
It was reported previously that Muda was not invited to the second Unity Government secretariat meeting held on March 19 at Menara Dato' Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC).
This is the second time the party led by Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has been excluded from the unity government meeting after the first meeting took place on Feb 7.
However, Muda is still waiting for a response from PH to hold a meeting with the coalition secretariat to discuss several matters, including the party's role in the government.
Meanwhile, Amir through his Twitter account, also shared several letters the party had sent to Saifuddin through various platforms.
"The second letter (Dec 18, 2022) was hand-delivered to Saifuddin, the Prime Minister, and the PH leadership during the signing ceremony of the Unity Government in Putrajaya.
"All these letters have been submitted via email, by hand, and also through WhatsApp.
"I hope that despite Saifuddin's tight schedule to implement the reform agendas, he will have the time to read all these letters.
"Muda just needs answers, and we are ready to accept any decision," he explained.
