PN rejects Pejuang's application to join opposition bloc

SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) Supreme Council meeting chaired by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has decided to reject Pejuang's application to join the opposition bloc.

PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin said the meeting was also attended by Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang; Gerakan President Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai and all other party representatives.

Hamzah said the party had decided to still use PN symbol in the state elections held in Kedah, Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan in addition to using Pas symbol in Kelantan and Terengganu.

"The Supreme Council also instructed the election machinery in the six states to make ample preparations," he said in a statement today.

Hamzah further informed that the council had appointed Pas central election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor as PN election director and Bersatu vice president Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee as Sabah PN Liaison Committee chairman.

Meanwhile, Bersatu vice president Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin was appointed as the Federal Territories PN Liaison Committee chairman while Tuan Mohamad Siddiq Mohd Azani and Muhd ​​Khidir Izaidin was appointed as PN executive assistant secretaries.
