25 candidates win Umno supreme council posts
Mohamad Amreel Iman Abd MalekKUALA LUMPUR - Umno has announced 25 new members for the Umno Supreme Council position for the 2023 - 2026 session on Sunday. According to the official results of the party, these individuals are Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Annuar Nasarah (178 votes), Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir (175), and Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz (167 votes).
"He was followed by Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan who received 167 votes, Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin (160), Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub (152) and Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim (151).
"This also included Datuk Seri Shahaniza Shamsuddin (129), Datuk Azian Osman (124) and Datuk Dr Shaik Hussein Mydin (118). "Other than that, Datuk Seri Dr Md Alwi Che Ahmad received 118 votes, Datuk Zahida Rafik Khan (113) and Datuk Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii (113)," Umno said in a statement on Sunday.
The remaining individuals included Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Bin Shamsudin (111), Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad (110), Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi (108), Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom (106), Datuk Johan Abd Aziz (102)., Isham Jalil (101), Datuk Seri Panglima Abd Rahman Dahlan (99).
The other five individuals were Datuk Lokman Noor Adam (97), Datuk Seri Ahmad Said (96), Datuk Rosnah Abd Rashid Shirlin (94), Datuk Mohd Rafi Alli Hassan (93) and Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul (91).
Previously, it was also announced that Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail; Umno Federal Territories Chairman, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani and Higher Education Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin won the Vice President position.
