Opportunity to study Quran with Egyptian scholar
SEMENYIH - Muslims in this country will have the opportunity to study the Quran with Egyptian scholar Sheikh Hasan Abdul Ghani Mohammad Abu Sittah, who is also the 30th generation of sanad (chain of narrators) holders.
BeDaie founder Muhammad Amar Mirza Ab Kadir Jailani said the ‘Jelajah Bersanad’ programme with Sheikh Hasan Abdul Ghani would be organised starting this month until April including throughout this Ramadan and it is open to anyone who wants to improve their Quran recitation.
"Sheikh Hasan Abdul Ghani is the holder of the 30th sanad of al-Quran, meaning the 30th generation, in which the knowledge of the Quran is transferred from one generation to another without the slightest interruption.
"So, it is important that we return to the scholarly tradition of sanad to make the recitation of the Quran better and correct, especially the recitation of al-Fatihah which is a pillar or essential part of prayer," he told Bernama recently.
Muhammad Amar Mirza said the Jelajah Bersanad programme would also be held with the involvement of personnel of uniformed bodies and government departments such as firefighters, prison officers and soldiers.
Muhammad Amar Mirza said he plans to hold a special 24-hour sanad programme with Sheikh Hasan Abdul Ghani on April 15 at Semenyih Ecoventure Resort and Recreation.
"Anyone can come to check and improve the recitation of the Quran 24 hours with Sheikh Hasan Abdul Ghani on that day with the help of his recognised students," he said, adding that each individual will be given a sanad certificate.
He said BeDaie, a digital madrasah that offers online Quranic classes, has 10,000 religious teachers.
Meanwhile, Semenyih Ecoventure Resort and Recreation group chief operating officer Puan Sri Mimi Nur Liana Abdullah said it would offer accommodation themed 'Perkampungan Madani, Ramadan di Hayati' throughout this Ramadan. - BERNAMA
