SHAH ALAM - Shumirun Nessa, a British Muslim TikTok comedian, claims she has been targeted after posting about non-binary activist Jeffrey Marsh.

Social media platforms are frequently awash with controversy, but the most recent dispute seems to have overflowed into the real world and sparked a debate about children's rights and gender online.

The conflict started when Marsh uploaded a video last month in which he quoted, "Stop telling trans people that we’re inspirational."

Millions of people watched the video that Nessa, who goes by the handle @therealoverloadcomedy, used Marsh’s video as her background for her own clip, calling on Marsh to "stop telling kids to go on your Patreon and chat to you privately without their parents knowing."

She commented that Marsh encouraged children to contact him privately on Patreon (an online platform for online content creators), and likened their content to grooming.

In another video, she stated that many people have labelled her as transphobic and attacked her religion.

She claimed her car had been vandalised and that pictures of her without the religious head cover had been shared online without her permission as a form of attack.

On March 12, she begged them not to come for her children in a recording.
