'Datuk Roy' surrenders himself to MACC

SHAH ALAM - Mohd Hussein Mohd Nasir, 54, also known as 'Datuk Roy' has finally surrended himself to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on Monday evening.

'Datuk Roy' is believed to be the main mastermind for the Jana Wibawa project corruption case.

He was arrested by MACC after he surrended himself.

A source from MACC said Datuk Roy was currently in remand at Kuala Lumpur MACC.

"Yes, it's true. Datuk Roy was arrested yesterday evening (Monday) and is now in remand at Kuala Lumpur MACC," the source said

Previously, MACC was tracking down Datuk Roy who was believed to be the main mastermind in the corruption case involving Jana Wibawa.

Four individuals including an MACC officer were arrested but later released on bail for allegedly soliciting and accepting bribes amounting to RM400,000 to avoid investigations into the controversial project.

Datuk Roy had previously been accused in court and sentenced to prison for corruption.
