Pas not leaving PN - Tuan Ibrahim
KUALA LUMPUR - Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has denied claims that the party would be leaving Perikatan Nasional (PN).
The Kubang Kerian MP said the matter had never been raised within the party.
"Nothing has been raised at all," he said when asked by reporters at Parliament on Monday.
He said so when asked to comment on speculation that arose folllowing the absence of Pas leaders at the Bersatu Annual General Assembly even though allies from Gerakan were present.
The fourth Bersatu Assembly will take place for three days starting on Friday.
Tuan Ibrahim said the lack of Pas representatives at the assembly was caused by the party leaders being forced to attend meetings in their respective areas.
"We have been informed and there were invitations, but coincidentally Pas have a general meeting at the time, a large number of leaders are forced to officiate (the general meetings) in their respective areas," he said.
In the 15th general elections (GE15) Pas won 49 Parliamentary seats becoming the party who won the largest seats in the coalition.
