Actor Kamal Adli attacked by a baton-wielding man in Singapore
KUALA LUMPUR - Popular actor Kamal Adli suffered head injuries after he was beaten by a man with a baton in Singapore, on Sunday.
Actress Uqasha Senrose who is also his wife stated the incident happened after they attended an event in the city.
Uqasha said her husband was rushed to the hospital and has to undergo surgery due to the injuries inflicted upon him.
"We were taking a picture with a woman when a man came from nowhere asking where was Kamal? We thought he was a fan.
"Kamal then called out to the man and he pulled out a baton from his pocket and started hitting him repeatedly.
"Kamal was bloodied and when he raised his head, the man hit his cheekbone followed by the body several times," Uqasha told a local news portal who had contacted her in Singapore.
After the incident Uqasha shared a short video on her personal Instagram.
In tears she wrote a note for the public to pray for her husband who was undergoing surgery in a Singapore hospital.
"I can't enter the operating theatre. I can only lodge a police report here in Singapore," she said.
Uqasha claimed the man did not only attack Kamal but threatened her siblings along with those present during the incident. - Awani
