Kuantan Umno youth seat goes to Tengku Ahmad Fareez
KUANTAN - Tengku Ahmad Fareez Tengku Zulkifly, 32, is the new Kuantan Umno Youth chief.
The former Umno Youth Committee member had won in a three-cornered fight against the incumbent, Md Jamil Pauzi, and Abdul Hafiz Mad Radzi.
Mohamad Irfan Mohd Zamri had also won a three-cornered fight and was elected as the youth vice chief of the division.
Tengku Ahmad Fareez said the role, which comes with great responsibility, will also be a challenge for him, especially when the support for Umno has been declining.
He said he will carry out the tasks as best as he can because he has volunteered to shoulder this responsibility.
"My friends and I will work together as a team with the division leadership to strengthen the party with the new faces.
"We will continue to draw up an action plan, especially in efforts to win back the young people to stay with Umno.
"Change is necessary so that these young people can see the direction of the fight we are continuing to convince them to return and be with Umno," he said.
