PUTRAJAYA - Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was released after about nine hours of testifying at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Headquarters here on Thursday.

Earlier, Muhyiddin was summoned by the commission to have his statement recorded over the Jana Wibawa scandal and the stimulus package funds spent during the period in relation to the Covid-19 management.

Muhyiddin had arrived at the MACC headquarters at about 11.20am.

MACC in a statement confirmed the arrest of the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) President at 1 pm before he was released on bail.
