LAHAD DATU - Three siblings were killed in a crash involving three vehicles at Jalan Tungku Kampung Bekapit, last night.

In the incident at about 7pm, the victims identified as Ellaine Sappari, 4, and her sister and brother Isang, 39, and Amil, 45, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Lahad Datu fire station (BBP) chief Sumsoa Rashid said they received a distress call at 7.02pm and a total of four personnel were dispatched to the scene located 34 kilometres away from the station.

He said the accident involved eight victims and three vehicles, namely a Honda Wave motorcycle, Mitsubishi Triton four-wheel drive and an Isuzu D-Max.

"In the accident, the three siblings who were riding a motorcycle were confirmed dead at the scene by the medical team.

"Meanwhile, the other five victims from another two vehicles did not suffer any injuries," he said when contacted by Sinar Harian on Thursday.

Sumsoa said the victims' bodies were handed over to the police for further action.

"The operations ended at 8.50pm," he said.
