Muhyiddin likely to be charged, multiple sources claim

SHAH ALAM - Talk is rife within Bersatu circles over its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin set to be charged the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on graft either tomorrow or on Friday.

Invites have been shared among the former Prime Minister's supporters, calling for them to assemble at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to offer support to the Perikatan Nasional chairman, who has been summoned for questioning tomorrow..

The Pagoh member of Parliament is alleged to be investigated for corruption in connection with the Jana Wibawa scandal and the government's spending via the Covid-19 stimulus package.

Checks with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) revealed that these were more than just rumours.

While the MACC source, privy to investigations, did confirm to Sinar Daily that Muhyiddinwas due to be charged either tomorrow, or on Friday, the source refuted some reports which claimed he had been arrested tofday.

The MACC have also informed the media that a pair of company directors will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow, but it is yet to be ascertained whether Muhyiddin is among them.
