KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Umno Youth chief Noor Hariri Mohamed Nor has described Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang's statement about attempts to overthrow the government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a 'threat'

He said it is feared that the statement could disrupt the country's harmony and go against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's royal decree - of wanting the government of the day to focus more on serving the people rather than a continuous tussle for power.

"This is a negative example by Perikatan Nasional (PN) who are the opposition

"The people assumed PN likes to play politics 24 hours a day and is not sincere about taking care of the people," he told Sinar today.

He said the attitude shown by Pas president is something that is harmful.

He said PN leaders should learn from what happened before when the government was unstable in 2020 to 2022 and suffered losses in addition to becoming a 'joke' internationally.

"To me, this is nothing more than the PN leadership wanting to shift focus from their corruption cases

"They are starting to worry that the people's support towards them will wane due to PN's reckless attitude in collecting funds regardless if the source is halal or haram, even to the point of using gambling money," he said.

Noor Hariri added that all PN politicians should return to their respective areas and give their best service after receiving a mandate from the people after the 15th General Election (GE15).

In another development, Noor Hariri said Anwar needs to learn from the previous eighth prime minister's mistake, where he failed to maintain political stability between parties.

"Based on performance, the Unity Government now performs better because of the unification factor between parties in comparison to the previous PN government which focused more on the leaders' self-interest," he said.
