IPOH - Police have asked the individual who took a photo of a car with a police vest placed on the dashboard and blocked the road to come forward to assist the investigation.

A photo of a black Proton Saga car believed to belong to a civil servant went viral on Twitter yesterday after it had double parked and caused inconvenience for other road users.

It received various reactions from social media users as there was no phone number left on the car but only a police vest placed on the dashboard.

Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the incident was believed to have taken place at Persiaran Brash near the Sultan Abdul Aziz Recreation Park or known as Padang Polo, here.

"We are tracking down the person who took the photo to help identify the car owner.

"The individual could contact the district Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division chief Deputy Superintendent Koo Boon Kuat at 016-41732222," he said in a statement.

The public is advised to not make any speculations that could interfere with the investigation or injure the police's reputation.
