Zahid's daughter to run for Umno Bagan Datuk women division chief post

IPOH - The daughter of Umno President, Datuk Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid has expressed her intention to run for the post of Bagan Datuk division women's chief.

She confirmed the matter in a Facebook post after receiving the 'green light' from her father who is also the party's division chief in Bagan Datuk.

In the post, Nurulhidayah wrote that she also met with the division's current Umno women's leader, Zarozatin Isa or fondly known as Cik Zatin to express her wishes.

"My father told me to not argue with anyone. I personally requested to see Cik Zatin because I respect her as an experienced person and will still work with her if I manage to win the hearts of the Bagan Datuk representatives in the upcoming party polls.

"Cik Zatin was pleased and told me 'we are having a healthy competition'. My spirits are renewed to continue the fight to compete as Umno Bagan Datuk women's leader candidate," she said posted on her page on Saturday.

Nurulhidayah admitted that the choice to run for the position was not an easy due to the fact that she is the daughter of Umno President who is also the head of the division.

"Allah wants me to 'double up' my efforts and confidence in Him, only Him," she wrote.
