Its director-general Prof Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff said the strategic plan and module that are focused on various aspects towards achieving Malaysia MADANI goals are expected to be completed within the next three months.
"The coordination has yet to be implemented and I'm sure right now every ministry and government agency is making their module to achieve it.
"J-KOM's priority is to connect the people with the government and boost patriotism by motivating the community by cultivating knowledge," he told reporters after officiating the Malaysia MADANI Concept in Education briefing session at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Bok, here today.
Dr Mohammad Agus said it was not an easy task as J-KOM had to work with academic experts from several local universities to discuss and formulate the strategic plan.
"Various models were offered and proposed to JKOM, we are still in the discussion stage to get a better index.
"J-KOM will make assessments by looking at several aspects such as the expertise of the researcher, time cost, the method to be used and most importantly how the assessed index complements the concept of Malaysia MADANI," he said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim introduced Malaysia MADANI which is based on six pillars, namely sustainability, prosperity, innovation, respect, trust and compassion to steer and regain the country’s dignity and glory on the world stage.
It is targeted to be the basis for each core value that will be explored to strengthen the eight requirements namely economy and finance, legislation, institutions, education, community, culture, urban and rural. - BERNAMA
