SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Women Tourist Guide Association says it has yet seen a reform of policies by the government in favour of tour guides.

Its secretary Yeap Li Boon said the new government should enhance enforcement against illegal tour guides and upgrade the quality of tour guides.

This, she this was to rectify the negative perception that tourists have towards the tour guides in the country.

“We have yet to see policies in favour of tour guides.

“We hope that the new government would enhance enforcement against illegal tour guides and upgrade the quality of tour guides,” she said in an interview with Chinese-language newspaper Sin Chew Daily.
