BISA empowers local entrepreneurs
SHAH ALAM - The Bisnes Sinar Harian Awards (BISA) could help uplift the micro business ecosystem as well as the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) industry in the country.
Grup Sinar Karangkraf chief executive officer Farah Hussamuddin said the award which will be held for the first time ever, tonight, was a starting point for Sinar Harian in its role to continuously empower local entrepreneurs.
"BISA is expected to be an exciting and significant award ceremony to uplift successful entrepreneurs.
"The objective of BISA is to support and recognise entrepreneurs who had built their businesses from the ground up where they are able to contribute to the local economy including through job opportunities.
“I hope this award would be an inspiration to everyone," she said.
Commenting on the selection of the winner, Farah said it was a complicted process which needed to be executed carefully.
She said the judges of the award comprised Sinar Karangkraf members who critically reviewed each nomination received.
"Focus is given to qualified candidates who made a great impact to the country's economic empowerment and sustainability.
"Alhamdulillah, Sinar Harian's effort was well received from not only entrepreneurs but also the entire business ecosystem," she said.
