PH is arrogant and detached from the people, says Bersatu
NOR SHYAMIRA LIANA NOR ASHAHASHAH ALAM - Bersatu information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan claimed that Pakatan Harapan had become arrogant and separated from the people.
The Tasek Gelugor MP also expressed his disappointment with the way the coalition government between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) dealt with the people's grief.
"This fancy government does not understand the difficulties in the lives of the people who are appealing for the withdrawal of the Employees' Provident Fund.
"It seems that since being with BN, PH pals have forgotten the people's agenda that was often chanted before," he said on his Facebook on Monday.
According to him, on Friday, several grassroots organisations gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office to present an appeal memorandum.
"If the situation wasn't serious, they certainly wouldn't have gathered like that in the middle of the heat. This proves that the current situation is urgent.
"It must be emphasised that our application is a targeted withdrawals. This means we can establish rules to ensure a balance between meeting the needs of today and ensuring the well-being of tomorrow," he said.
He added that the actual role of the government is to find a way to solve the people's problems.
"The government should not reject outright when the people are complaining," he said.
Meanwhile, he also pointed out that the issue is often raised in Parliament.
"I hope that this fancy government will descend to the ground and immediately help the people. Don't be arrogant with the power that you have.
"Use the power for the benefit of the people, not only to seek revenge on those who are loud," he said.
