Tobaki Cilik Racing Team aims to be in Top 5 of 2023 Cub Prix
PETALING JAYA - Tobaki Cilik Racing Team (TCRT) aims to be in the top five in the CP150 category in the 2023 Cub Prix Malaysia championship.
TCRT founder Nur Atikah Azwar said the target is set based on the performance of her two riders, Harith Farhan and Afizi Faris, who have good potential to score points in this season's race.
"To chase the podium with the CP150 is like magic, and at the same time we have to face experienced teams such as Team Yamaha Petronas, Factory Honda, and other teams.
"So for this season, we are hoping for a top-five position," she told media members during the soft launch of Pink Racing X Liqui Moly.
Nur Atikah, 27, who is also a motorsport content creator, added further that TCRP has faced financial problems in hopes of continuing to participate in races this season.
Apart from that, she said the team also faced many hurdles in finding the best racers for the team.
"Only Harith Farhan remains in the team because he showed great effort even though last year he had an accident during the second lap at the race in Jempol.
"Harith had a big surgery with a cost of RM70,000. Harith also has not ridden since last August, but his performance is still good at the beginning of February," she said.
The 2023 Cub Prix calendar will open on February 25 starting with Round 1 in Sepang and ending on Nov 26 in Batu Kawan, Penang
